Got to Fraser Station about 4pm to settle in. The big fire was blazing but very windy so decided to stay in. Next morning woke to a glorious day.
Fraser Range
Walked the 500 metres to the golf hole on the staion. Galahs were everywhere. Played the sheep hole even had to putt over sheep poo to get it near the hole. Left Fraser Station for Merriden. Had a quiet trip with hardly any big trucks passing us. The countryside was so pretty. Plenty of green crops. Had our last night in Merriden. Very sad to end our lovely trip.
Today called in to Northam for a last cuppa.

Arrived back in Perth at lunch time.
Wonderful wonderful trip.

Eucla

Left early from Ceduna for the long drive to Eucla. Played the Nullabor Links along the way. Lots of fun. Lost a few balls along the way. So many holes where the balls could have gone down but we weren't going to look down any of them. Lots of people playing the course. So so rough.

Nundroo Hole - Notice the trashed car
Nullabor Hole
Kangaroo Hole Border Village

Just before Nullabor we went and looked at the whales. So well done with lots of ramps going down to the sea. Only saw 12 whales because it was a bit rough and windy. Yesterday there were 100 whales seen in the water.
Got to Eucla just before nightfall. Another long day tomorrow.

Ceduna

Great drive from Port Lincoln. So many small towns on the coast.
Ellison

Very pretty country. Called into Streaky Bay and had some fresh oysters on the beach. Weather really nice.
Streaky Bay
Arrived at Ceduna and started the Nullabor Links Golf Course. Lots of fun with the locals cheering us on in the last hole. Stayed at the Big R Caravan Park.

Port Lincoln

Left the Barossa early for our long drive down south. Passed through Port Augusta and immediately the countryside changed. Really outback looking. We just loved it. Passed Whyalla which was interesting. A big port city. We ended up at Arno Bay.
Canola crops all the way to Port Lincoln

Arno Bay

It was a quaint little town on the water. Our caravan was right against the sand dunes. Today visited all the little towns on the sea. Port Neil Tumby Bay. So pretty.
Tumby Bay

We were surprised that there were a lot of crops especially canola crops. It was very pretty with the farms going right down to the sea. Our caravan park at Port Lincoln was right on the side of the hill overlooking the water. So nice.
Port Lincoln

It was a drive through so very easy to get settled. Went to all the tourist spots around the town. It was  a nice day and only rained a few times. Went for a walk around the coast. We saw all the big tuna boats. Unlucky for us they had just harvested all the tuna.
 Great town. Will visit again.

Both played really bad. From there went to the beach. Found it humming.

Hahndorf

Revisited the park where we saw the koalas and they were still there. They looked very sleepy. Headed up the hill to Hahndorf. Very pretty town.

Very old buildings. Couldn't go past the cheese shop again. Decided to go up to Mt Lofty. Very steep drive up the hill. Plenty of people out for the day. Beautiful weather.
Decided to go and find our friends house in the hills. After a few phone calls we found it. Sorry to see they were away on holidays. Fabulous house. Very peaceful looking in the Adelaide hills.
Finished the day with dinner at John and Laurens.

Adelaide

Lovely to see all the family this morning. First time to see the new addition little Frank.
Frank and Aunty Joy
Uncle Barry Arty and Tilly

Had a lovely lunch then went and walked around Adelaide. When we got back to the park we went for a walk looking for koalas . Long walk but found 3 so was thrilled. Have been trying to find a koala in the wild.
Finally a kaola

Portland to Adelaide

Woke to a much calmer morning. The rain had finally stopped after 11/2 days. We set off early and had a smooth ride to Mt Gambier. Lots of pine forests along the way but were lucky to not have any log trucks going our way. Mt Gambier was a pretty little town with the town developed right up to the Blue Lake.
Blue Lake
It was a cloudy day so the colour blue wasn't very vivid.
Blue Lake Lookout
The road on took in many very small seaside towns. Roads very flat. We eventually followed a waterway called the Coorong all the way to Tailem Bend. Plenty of flocks of pelicans flying along.
The Coorong
Also passed through Kingston S.E. place where the famous Rock Lobster is farmed.

Big Lobster at Kingsten
Decided to keep on going to Adelaide. The drive was very easy today. Found the caravan park easily. We have a little brook running behind us.
Will be nice to explore tomorrow.

It was so wonderful to see.
Continued the drive through plenty of farmland. Visited Port Fairy which was a wonderful historical town.
Port Fairy

Finally got to Portland which is the oldest town in Victoria.

The weather has turned nasty so haven't been able to get out . Thankfully it will stop tomorrow so off we go again.
